Months of prep led to this moment: throwing our hat into the awards ring, because it truly takes a village to create impactful work for our clients and communities.

David vs. Goliath (but make It Digital Marketing)
Our incredible Nerds found themselves competing against industry legends like Ogilvy South Africa (KFC's finger-lickin' good digital masterminds) and VML South Africa (the geniuses behind Nando's cheeky brand personality).

Instead of backing down, we showcased our Social Media Community Management work for our client SANRAL, and proudly walked away with Silver in the Craft Category at the 2025 Bookmark Awards!

From case studies to confetti
What started as gathering internal case studies in December 2024 snowballed into a full adventure:
  • Briefing the concept (explaining why our work matters)
  • Number crunching (so many metrics!)
  • The nail-biting client approval wait
  • That "oh wow, we really made a difference" impact moment


The audacity factor
It took serious chutzpah to believe we could compete with industry giants. The kind of chutzpah that makes you triple-check everything and still wonder if you're delusional. But sometimes chutzpah pays off in magical ways.

The awards evening was filled with nervous laughter, genuine appreciation for incredible work, and that surreal moment when they called our name. There's something beautifully humbling about being surrounded by SA's advertising elite and realising creativity doesn't have a company size requirement, but that heart counts.

Why young voices matter
Industry events have the power to normalise representation, showing that fresh perspectives aren't exceptions but necessities at every table.

When young professionals see themselves in these spaces, magic happens: They realise their ideas have weight, their perspective isn't "too inexperienced". And, is exactly what the industry needs to stay innovative and relevant.
